St. Andrew By-The-Sea

Testimonials

We weren’t Methodists when we moved to the area. But after trying several churches, St. Andrew By-The-Sea was the right fit. We were drawn to the warm and welcoming congregation as well as the commitment to service such as the soup kitchen. For us, the modern service is the right balance between traditional and contemporary.

- Lynn

I’ve come to SABTS since my first trip to HHI in 1993, first as a visitor and now as an affiliate member. Four of my grandchildren have been baptized here. My wife and I are cross & flame followers. John Wesley makes Methodism simple, (1) Do No Harm, (2) Do Good and (3) Love God. He also inspires critical thinking, thus not having us check our brains at the door. Those who attend here embody that mindset.

- Alan

I’ve attended SABTS church and Sunday school since I was 3 years old. I’m in the Seaside youth choir, a service squad member, liturgical dancer, and most recently a confirmed member of the church. I love activities we do with my friends here – the egg toss and helping prepare for Soup Kitchen are two of my favorite memories.

- Elsie

Having been a member of the St. Andrew family since 1994, I am keenly aware of its significant ministry which thoughtfully addresses the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the congregation. Its efforts toward community outreach and foreign mission foster a sense of fellowship and global witness. The intentionality of the St. Andrew ministry has been and continues to be a blessing.

- Ann

SABTS is about a comfort, loving culture. Our 14 years of attending church there have blessed us with, hopefully, Christ-like behaviors that have made us better people. We thank and love our pastors and all the service folks of our church.

- Jane and Kerry

We started attending SABTS in the late 1980s, since we both grew up in UMC churches in Georgia. The services were engaging and we felt welcome as young professionals. Our daughters were christened and confirmed in the church, were acolytes, attended Sunday School, UMYF – the works! Now as empty nesters, SABTS STILL feels like home to us. We’ve been blessed to worship under the direction of 8 different senior pastors, learning important lessons from each.

- Sandy
